We were so excited about finally filming with Run Toto Run, after nearly a year of figuring out a time and place, let alone how the electro trio would translate their sound to an un-plugged session. As it happens, they lugged their synths and drums onto a roof and plugged it right in. Sessions are always better with tinnies and sunshine!
A Manchester, UK, three piece electro pop band consisting of front woman Rachael Kichenside, Michael Kelly & Matt Farthing. Together since late 2008, the band rapidly experienced successes, playing their third gig at Glastonbury, achieving national radio play before they’d played their first gig & getting on the In The City industry list within a few months of becoming a band.
They put out their first single in June 2009 and received press coverage from the Guardian and NME, radio play from BBC 6 Music, Radio 1 and XFM playlisting. They’ve been XFM’s artist in residence are getting live reviews from the likes of the NME and News of the World and have had hypemachine hits with various remixes and a cover of Passion Pit’s “Sleepyhead”, which reached the number one position as well as gaining national radioplay. They’re currently working on a new album due out in mid 2010 and their second single Catch My Breath was released in February 2010, again gaining XFM playlisting and receiving play from Radio 1, 2, BBC 6, Galaxy and Absolute Radio and Topshop playlisting. Run Toto Run are on XFM’s list of artists to watch in 2010
