The first single, “Sneak Into My Room,” was playlisted at BBC 6 Music and XFM. “Hung To Dry” will be released as the second single in June.
“An absolute beauty. A match made in music heaven. . . .On songs such as Give Me Happiness, Hung To Dry and Holy Water, they create music that sounds somehow preordained. Buy this now.” Sunday Times
“Levy’s baritone brings a velvety richness to string-drenched songs about infidelity and betrayal, while Pierce proves a distinctive foil. These are beautiful songs with a murderous heart.” Uncut Magazine (four star review)
“Simple and instantly seductive, helped by hints of bone-dry humour.” MOJO (four star review)
“Levy the man is fixated with Serge Gainsbourg and Lee Hazelwood, and with Allison Pierce (half of sister act The Pierces) as his Nancy Sinatra, cooks up some of the greatest countrified orchestral pop this side of the randy old goats heydays.” Q Magazine (three/four star reviews)
“Levy has the right voice and perfect songs, but he also knows how to give the perfect tone to the album to make it about more than a style… simple and effective – between the lines of something dark and seductive.” El Pais (Spain) (four star review)
“A smoldering album wrapped in velvet strings and suave horns.” BBC
