We met with Exlovers ahead of their show at the fantastic 2 Dollar Show at Trof, Fallowfield. We wandered through the vacant space above the bar to find a spot to film this beautiful acoustic session.

Wednesday, March 16th, 2011, 9:00 amAssembled in London, meeting through mutual friends exlovers have wasted no time since forming in early 2008. Their early sound was a quiet, folkish affair playing songs such as ‘The Ruins’ and ‘S.O.F’ previously written by Peter . exlovers quickly drew upon their early 90’s American and UK indie influences (The Cure/Teenage Fan Club/My Bloody Valentine/Elliot Smith), collectively writing to combine sweetly sombre lyrical musings with lo-fi guitars, ever-developing boy-girl harmonies and subtle instrumental discord to stunning effect.
