We had been listening to With That Knife for a few month’s before this session, and as big fan’s of their post punk sound, we were excited to see what they could do acoustically. They Completely reworked ‘Excuse? Me!’ and it blew us away, so much so we offered them a slot on our 100th Video gig, as well as our 100th Video.
Meeting at University in Manchester, With That Knife come from all over the country; Blackpool, Manchester, Wantage and Reading.
They are all huge music fans and listen/argue/play a lot and try and balance the aggression and ferocity of bands like Fugazi and At The Drive in with the structural/textural influence of artists like Aphex Twin and LCD Soundsystem.
‘We try and play catchy, relatively short songs. More importantly we’ll play anywhere at any time as loud as we’re allowed.’
