The Kill Van Kulls are Gareth Bartlett (Vocals / Keyboards), Chris Milton ( Guitar / vocals), Christopher Walton ( Bass / vocals) and Benjamin Mousley ( Drums / electronic percussion).
The band originally started as a 3 piece playing to a drum machine, until Benjamin joined six months ago and helped develop the band’s sound.
Since this point the Manchester based act have honed a set of bold and ambitious songs. XFM spotted their potential by naming them in their top tips for 2011 poll alongside Mona and Naked & The Famous – with whom The Kill Van Kulls have supported recently – as well as James Blake, Chapel Club and The Joy Formidable.
The band’s name originates from a book about Bruce Springsteen’s hometown, which goes someway to explaining the band’s influences, which critics have likened to everything from Prince to Doves.
