Day For Airstrikes

At this year’s Sounds From The Other City Festival in Salford, we were lucky enough to film some full band sessions with some of the acts playing at the Festival. So we loaded in four cameras and a full audio recording set up and hauled it up five flights of stairs to the top of Islington Mill, where the lovely SFTOC organisers let us film for the day.

Huge thanks to Joe Reiser and Rob Kelledy for all their hard work recording the sound for us!

Also, our additional camera legends, Chloe McCarrick and Paul Maloney!

“Day for airstrikes formed in 2003 as an outlet for ridiculous ideas that they were unable to express with their former teenage bands. Since their inception they have released three records of instrumental rock music that has evolved from pop-influenced post rock to progressive rock and formed numerous other bands and projects. For SFTOC (their second time here at the festival) they are performing an original soundtrack for the 1986 movie Rita Sue And Bob Too. Expect the unexpected – just don’t expect any Black Lace covers.”
